Learn about the history of spacecraft propulsion presented by Dr. Gerald Jackson from the Chicago Society for Space Studies. Dr. Gerald Jackson received his doctorate in the field of accelerator physics from Cornell University where his focus was on the study of collisions between electrons and positrons. From 1985 until 2000 he was instrumental in improving the performance of the Fermilab proton-antiproton collider through enhancements in the production, manipulation, and storage of antiprotons. In this lecture he will discuss the past, present, and future of spacecraft travel.
