Event Details

Have a story waiting to be told? Want to win a prize for your prose? Join our Teen Writing Contest! Open to grades 7-12. Short story submissions will be accepted November 1st-30th. 

The following rules apply:  

  • Works cannot exceed 2,000 words
  • 1 entry per person
  • All work must be original and unpublished
  • Work will be judged on originality of plot, characters, use of language, grammar, spelling, and syntax

There are two ways you can submit your work:

  1. Print it out and drop it off at the Adult Services - be sure to include a page with your name, phone number and email address, OR
  2. Email an attachment of your story to bpldteen@bartlettlibrary.org and be sure to include your phone number and name in the email. 

 Winners will be announced in December!
